Why focus on Meaningful Change?

Meaning-in-life is a central component of our well-being and happiness. Conversely, threats to our sense of meaning can often be a key factor in our stress, depression, and anxiety. Furthermore, the process of meaning-making impacts our resilience during tough times.

Change is the norm these days. Sometimes we choose change. Other times, change is handed to us. Change forces us to re-examine what matters most in our lives. Often we know that we need to change but somehow we feel stuck. Change can often be good – once we’re through it.

Meaningful Change Counselling and Psychotherapy supports clients through the process of change. Our work builds from research on happiness, life meaning, and resilience. We work together to help you (a) understand your current life situation, (b) develop new goals, and (c) support you in making changes. Not just any change, but truly Meaningful Change.
