Meaningful Change Counselling and Psychotherapy is based on positive psychology. This approach focuses on client strengths, living a meaningful life, and becoming happier over time.

Meaningful Changes is positive, yet practical. Our work together stresses resilience and exploring new ways to cope during difficult times. We don’t just focus on problems. We also help you to grow as a person and identify new goals.

A client-centred approach means that client needs are at the forefront of our collaboration. We focus on a respectful relationship grounded in being empathic, genuine and non-judgemental.

Meaningful Change is the dream of founder Jacqueline Synard, Ph.D., RP, CCC. Jacqui draws from an extensive knowledge of positive psychology, counselling, and psychotherapy.

    • Experience helping clients with a range of issues including stress, depression, anxiety, relationships, career coaching, and life transitions

Jacqui’s approach has been described as positive, caring, non-judgmental, collaborative, flexible, and practically-focused. She is also passionate.

Jacqui’s work also draws from her life experience. This perspective includes a past business career working in the fast-paced technology sector. She thus appreciates the ever-humbling challenge of trying to juggle work, family, friends, and life!

As a native Newfoundlander, Jacqui also brings a sense of humour. Her culture inspires her to stress resilience when facing life’s challenges since “No storm lasts forever”. Not to mention the power of storms to transform us and inspire Meaningful Change in our lives.
